Down by the ocean
where the waters are blue
the sand course and tan
I see my memories running by
Some are written in sand
by the water or more upland
they all are etched in that trivial place
soon to be forever lost, and never replaced
Our lives are in the sand
to either washed or to stand
From what i understand,
there isnt much of life that doesnt flow
away in those blue waters
Or remembered for only a while more
Down by the ocean

i see our lives being swept into sea
for by the horizon
they drift into the sun.

Nice poem, I like the anaolgy of our memories etched in the sand and some lasting longer than others depending upon how far off the water line they are written. I have a poem called "Sand" about the loss of one's mother that you might enjoy, I will try to post it tonight. You are very talented in all your works, keep it up.
